How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

To change the Knock Sensor (KS), first, lift and secure the vehicle. It will be required to remove your engine harness electrical connector from the left knock sensor and the one on the right as well. Remove the knock sensor. When installing the new knock sensor, never use thread sealant on the threads; they are already pre-coated at the factory, and any added sealant may interfere with the sensor's sensitivity to detonation. Install the knock sensor and tighten it to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) ensuring to follow the Fastener Notice. Re-attach the engine harness electrical connector to the right knock sensor and the engine harness electrical connector left knock sensor if needed, before lowering the vehicle.
