How to replace the wiper arm on 2005 Buick LaCrosse?

After positioning the wipers in park and turning off the ignition key take off the hood and detach the washer hose from the Wiper Arm. Unscrew both the Wiper Arm nut and nut cover until the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) fits. Remove the Wiper Arm from the wiper transmission using this tool. Determine the correct placement of the Wiper Arm on the wiper transmission by inserting the blades into the windshield blackout sections. Apply threadlocking compound gm p/n 89021297 with equivalent to the Wiper Arm nut then tighten it to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Install the Wiper Arm nut cover first, then place wash hose back on the Wiper Arm and test the functioning windshield wipers through multiple cycles. End your task by putting the hood back in place.
