How to replace the windshield wiper arm on Buick LaCrosse?

Start by parking the wipers in position and switch off the ignition before releasing the fluid connection at the Wiper Arm. Pry off the Wiper Arm nut cover and Wiper Arm nut before using the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) to detach the Wiper Arm from the wiper transmission. Align the Wiper Arm with the wiper transmission until the wiper blades match the small notches on available windshield blackout patterns 1 and 2 for proper installation. Apply threadlocking compound which meets gm p/n 89021297 or its equivalent product to the Wiper Arm nut before you install and tighten it to 30 n.m or 22 lb ft. After positioning the wiper nut cover on top install the washer hose back to the Wiper Arm. Turn on the wipers to confirm normal working and seal the hood last.
