How to replace a muffler on 2005 Buick Park Avenue?

In order to change the muffler, lift and prop the vehicle, and cut the exhaust pipe close to the muffler. Take off the rear exhaust hanger nut and remove the muffler. Lightly grease the hanger rod of the tail pipes so that they can be removed easily. Fit the new muffler ensuring that it is well aligned and then lower the vehicle.
