The bottom edge of the Valve Stem Oil Seal requires prying to allow its removal. When installing the oil seal position it over the valve stem until it contacts the valve guide before employing the valve stem seal installer (J 42863) to ensure a leak-free fitting. The valve stem seal installer (J 42863) should push the valve stem seal over the guide before you install the valve spring and valve cap using the valve spring compressor (J 38606). Install the valve keys next. Use this installation method for all valves then follow by depressurizing the cylinder and extracting the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794).
