Before disconnecting the battery negative cable users need to record radio presets together with theft codes followed by switching off all lamps and accessories with the ignition in off position. You should disconnect the battery ground cable (negative terminal) from the battery next. Before finishing the installation you must reconnect the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery by tightening the 16 n.m (12 lb ft) battery terminal bolt but first removing all corrosion from the battery terminal flange and the Battery Cable end. Post-installation setup requires radio preset programming and power sliding door initialization.
