  • Q: How to replace the inlet radiator hose on 2005 Chevrolet Astro?
A: The cooling system must be drained before you proceed with radiator inlet hose replacement by first removing the air cleaner assembly. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) must be used to relocate the radiator inlet hose clamp first from the radiator and then from the Thermostat Housing before removing the radiator inlet hose. The new radiator inlet hose installation process begins with attaching it to the Thermostat Housing before you use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to put the hose clamp back on the Thermostat Housing followed by connecting the hose to the radiator and resetting the clamp on the radiator. To complete the task reinstall the air cleaner assembly followed by cooling system filling.
