Start battery disconnection by switching off all lighting and accessories before turning the ignition to off mode. The technician must first unscrew the battery ground negative cable and bolt from the battery 4.3l. Before installing the battery ground negative cable and bolt the technician must clean corrosion from both the battery terminal bolt flange and Battery Cable end. The battery terminal bolt requires a final torque of 15 n.m (11 lb ft).
