2005 Chevrolet Blazer Fuel Pressure Regulator Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel pressure regulator on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?
A: The first step for replacing a Fuel Pressure Regulator requires removing the upper Intake Manifold. You should start by removing the Fuel Pressure Regulator retainer clip and twisting and pulling the Fuel Pressure Regulator from its housing while using a shop towel to contain any leaking fuel. It is necessary to discard both the regulator seal o-ring and the regulator filter along with the regulator seal o-ring and back up ring. Place housing of the Fuel Pressure Regulator into position to stop contaminants from entering. Start the installation of the new back up ring alongside regulator seal o-ring , regulator filter and regulator seal o-ring by applying clean engine oil lubrication to all o-ring seals before putting these parts onto the Fuel Pressure Regulator. After aligning the vacuum tube toward the ground, install the Fuel Pressure Regulator then fasten it with the Fuel Pressure Regulator retainer clip before reinstalling the upper manifold.
