How to Properly Replace a Fuel Pump Strainer on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?

In order to change the fuel pump strainer, un-connect the negative battery cable and release the fuel system pressure. Disassemble the fuel tank and fuel sender assembly and take note of the position of the strainer. Change the strainer in case of contamination, and attach the tank and the assembly again.
