    A: In order to replace the compressor clutch assembly (Direct mount), the following necessary tools will be used: in this case, universal spanner wrench (J 37872), and the snap ring pliers (J 6083). Start by undoing the compressor and disposing of the compressor clutch plate bolt. Hold the compressor clutch plate from rotating using universal spanner wrench (J 37872) and remember to replace the three adjustable dowels with three 5/16 x 1 inch bolts. Then, take out the compressor clutch plate and then follows it by the removal of compressor pulley snap ring with the help of the snap ring pliers (J 6083) and then compressor pulley itself. Next, use the snap ring pliers (J 6083) to remove the compressor clutch coil snap ring and take out the compressor clutch coil. For installation, clean the clutch plate bolt tap m6x1.0, also blow out debris with compressed air. Replace the compressor clutch coil followed by the clutch coil snap ring with the help of snap ring pliers (J 6083). Then install compressor pulley, snap ring again using the the snap ring pliers (J 6083). Slightly oil on 0.4 mm (0.016 in) air gap shim, and need to install it in clutch drive plate, while mounting the compressor clutch plate. Take a measurement of the air gap between the pulley and the drive plate by adjusting the shims to achieve an air gap of 0.3-0.6 mm (0.012-0.024 in) when the drive plate is rotated without dragging against the pulley. Apply the colored adhesive to at least 5 threads on the new bolt when installing the clutch drive plate bolt, then apply a torque of 12 n.m (9 Ib ft) while the compressor clutch plate is held from turning using the universal spanner wrench (J 37872). Lastly, reinstall the compressor and carry out the fittings leak test using the leak test tool (J 39400-A).
