In order to replace the catalytic converter the first step is to raise the vehicle and hold the three way catalytic converter. Take off the intermediate pipe bolts, manifold bolts, and the bolt for the three way catalytic converter bracket, and remove the three way catalytic converter together with its seals. Ensure to clean the surfaces of the flange before installing the new seals for the three way catalytic converter. Next, apply the intermediate pipe bolts and tighten them to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Mount the three way catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold and tighten exhaust manifold pipe bolts to a torque of 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.). Lastly, install the three-way catalytic converter bracket bolt and bring down your vehicle.
