  A: Use new cables for positive battery connections which replicate the specifications of the existing wires including type and dimensions and install the cables following the original routing path. Start by taking off the battery then disconnect the underhood fuse block (UHFB) cover. Start by taking out the positive Battery Cable nut from the uhfb then free the positive Battery Cable from its connection to the uhfb. Start by taking out the battery box before unhooking the Battery Cable retainers that are securing the battery tray. Start by disconnecting the positive Battery Cable from the Starter Solenoid then the positive battery terminal nut from the Starter Solenoid before removing the positive Battery Cable from the wire loom. Start by placing the positive Battery Cable through the wire loom before connecting it to the Starter Solenoid. Fasten the positive battery terminal nut onto the starter until torque reaches 10 n.m (89 lb ft). Reinstall the battery box after securing the Battery Cable retainers to the battery tray. Secure the positive Battery Cable to the uhfb through the positive Battery Cable nut, torque it to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Reinstall the battery after you have put back the uhfb cover.
