  A: The replacement process for the console electrical center or junction block begins by unlocking and opening the top folding structure then setting the ignition switch to off. Start the process by taking both the rear upper garnish molding and floor console off followed by advancing the passenger seat to its full extent. First detach the negative battery terminal cable then pull the sliding latch to its entire extension (about 40 mm or 1.6 in long) while removing the connector part from the electrical center area. Move on to remove the nut that attaches the positive battery terminal to the electrical center then loosen bolts (1, 2, 3) while pulling out the four retaining tabs placed at both the top and bottom of the electrical center. Unscrew the electrical center from its base position while detaching every connector specified on (1, 2) from the electrical center base. Begin by removing the electrical center base from the vehicle by taking away the nuts from console bracket studs. Insert the electrical center base into the vehicle and fasten it with the console bracket studs while tightened to 10 n.m (88 lb in). Install the electrical center base to the console bracket with 4 retaining tabs fully seated after plugging all the block connectors (1, 2) into the electrical center base proper installation. Qi the positive battery terminal nut onto the electrical center while tightening to 10 n.m (88 lb in), then fasten bolts (1, 2, 3) to 3.5 n.m (31 lb in). Complete the electrical center connection by applying the sliding latch upward until it reaches full seating position (40 mm or 1.6 in) and reinstall the negative Battery Cable and move the passenger seat all the way to the rear. The last step involves installing the floor console together with the rear upper garnish molding and closing the folding top.
