How to Replace the Door Lock Switch in a Power Sliding Door on 2005 Chevrolet Venture?

The procedure to remove and install the Power Sliding Door (PSD) On/Off-Open/Close Overhead Switch starts by sliding a small flat tool into the slot between the interior lamp housing and the overhead console and pressing it in and down to release the housing from the overhead frame. First detach the ambient lighting/multifunction switch/reading lamp housing and then disconnect its electrical connectors. Push the retainers together with pliers during the process of moving the switch away from the housing to take it out. The installation process for the interior lamp/multifunction switch/reading lamp housing starts by snapping the switch inside the housing then reconnecting electrical connectors before you can finish with pressing up the housing to lock it into position on the overhead console.
