The first step for suction hose replacement requires the recovery of refrigerant from the system. Unscrew the mounting bolt of the suction hose from the A/C Compressor before separating the suction hose from the compressor. The first step involves removing the nut from the txv stud before taking off the suction hose from the txv and suction hose assembly from the vehicle. The system should receive new sealing washers which you must combine with system opening caps for disposal. The suction hose repair requires vehicle attachment and fresh sealing washer installation. Use the txv as a point of connection for the suction hose followed by nut installation on the txv stud and torque it to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Connect the suction hose to the compressor through new sealing washers while placing the suction hose mounting bolt onto the A/C Compressor and tighten it to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). The a/c system evacuation procedure along with developing combined pressures to 291 kpa and system recharging takes place before conducting fittings leak tests through halogen leak detection (J 39400-A).
