How to Replace the Motor and Transmission Mount (RPO Z71) on 2005 GMC Canyon?

Begin transmission mount (RPO Z71) replacement by lifting the car and adding a jack to support the transmission unit before dismounting the two transmission mount-to-support nuts. Disassembly begins by removing the two nuts which secure the transmission mount to its support structure before elevating the transmission off the support position and unscrewing the mount to transmission bolts and the mount spacer. Begin your installation by putting on the mount spacer before attaching the transmission mount to the vehicle. Install the transmission bolts through the mount then torque them to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.). Secure the transmission by putting two nuts on its mount to the support then tightening to 57 Nm (42 ft. lbs.). After completing all steps lower the vehicle while removing the transmission jack.
