How to replace the Neutral Safety Switch on 2005 GMC Safari?

In place of the park/neutral position switch, use the parking brake and change the transmission to neutral. Pull out the transmission control lever and unhook the electrical connector into the switch. Install the new switch being careful to install it in the correct position, and screw the bolts. Rebate the electrical connectors and ensure that the switch works.
