The Shock Absorber replacement begins with a vehicle lift before inserting a jack stand under the lower Control Arm. Start by removing the Shock Absorber nut and bushing and afterwards the lower mounting bolts before extracting the Shock Absorber from the vehicle. The new Shock Absorber needs proper placement before it faces the mounting holes of the lower Control Arm and the lower mounting bolts require installation at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Put the upper retaining nut along with bushing in their position and torque the nut to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). After removal of safety stands and vehicle lowering the craftsman should discard the previous Shock Absorber.
