The first step to replace a radiator outlet pipe starts with draining the cooling system. Start by taking the air cleaner assembly off and disconnecting the radiator outlet hose from its pipe. You must remove three components: radiator outlet pipe bracket to transmission retaining bolt and radiator outlet pipe bracket to thermostat housing retaining bolt. When removing the radiator outlet pipe from the thermostat housing make sure you start by installing a new o-ring before putting in the new pipe. Position the new o-ring on the radiator outlet pipe before you connect the pipe to the thermostat housing and tighten both the transmission retaining bolt and thermostat housing retaining bolt. Close the radiator outlet hose to its pipe and reposition the air cleaner assembly. Finally, fill the cooling system.
