- Q: How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?A: Before replacing the Air Suspension Compressor, lift and support the vehicle, and start by removing the Air Suspension Compressor filter from the underbody rail, de-tube the air tubes from the inflator solenoid. Then remove the compressor bracket bolts and nuts, remove the Air Suspension Compressor electrical connection, and remove the Air Suspension Compressor unit from the vehicle. You need to remove the wires of the compressor from the connector, remove the air dryer, take out the Air Suspension Compressor bolts before detaching the Air Suspension Compressor from the Air Suspension Compressor assembly bracket and the bolts and bracket from the compressor motor. For installation, you start by installing bolts and bracket to the compressor while tightening the bolts of the Air Suspension Compressor to 6 nm (53 inch lbs). Then, mount the Air Suspension Compressor onto the Air Suspension Compressor bracket and tighten whoever Air Suspension Compressor bolts with 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). Continue to install the air dryer and then the air tubes into the inflator solenoid and connect the wires of the compressor into an electrical connector. Reconnect the Air Suspension Compressor filter to the underbody rail and install the Air Suspension Compressor bracket nuts (tightened to 10 Nm or 89 inch lbs.) and the Air Suspension Compressor bracket bolts (tightened to 10 Nm or 89 inch lbs.). Lastly, attach Air Suspension Compressor electrical connector, mount the Air Suspension Compressor and bracket to the underbody rail, lower the vehicle.
