How to replace the liftgate hinges on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

Before starting work on a Rendezvous liftgate hinges you must remove the liftgate and use a grease pencil to mark their positions. Mark the actual position of the shims before you take out the nuts from the liftgate hinges. Remove both liftgate hinges plus their shims and seals from the vehicle. Install the liftgate hinges in their right positions on the vehicle using the marks while inserting shims and seals. Embed the liftgate nuts into the hinges until they reach 33 N.m torque. Finally, reinstall the liftgate.
