  A: You should start Valve Stem Oil Seal and valve spring replacement when the Piston sits at tdc in its working cylinder to keep the valve from entering the cylinder space. Start by taking the Spark Plug loose then clean the space around it before taking the plug out. Put the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) into the Spark Plug port while holding the valves in position using compressed air. Place the j 38606 valve spring compressor onto the valve spring and push down to take away valve locks and valve cap before pulling out the valve spring for evaluation. Install the new Valve Stem Oil Seal first then put the valve spring and valve cap back on their respective position. Use the valve spring compressor (J 38606) to compress the valve spring again before you set the valve locks into place with necessary grease. Divert the valve spring pressure while checking that the valve locks are well positioned before taking out the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) and placing back the Rocker Arm and Spark Plug.
