How to replace the trunk latch on 2006 Buick Terraza?

In order to substitute the liftgate latch, one must open the liftgate and remove the water deflector. Unscrew the electrical connector and take out the retaining bolts. Disengage the latch cable clip and de-cable latch cable. Install the new latch, reconnect the electrical connector and screw the retaining bolts. Install the water deflector again, and shut the liftgate.
