2006 Buick Terraza Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Door Lock Actuator for the power sliding door on 2006 Buick Terraza?
A: You can start lock actuator replacement for power sliding doors by removing PSD 15A from the instrument panel fuse block to disable PSD system operations. Both power sliding door modules become unable to operate due to low current logic power interruption. The first step requires removal of the sliding door inner trim panel followed by removal of the sliding door water deflector before proceeding to the sliding door lock module. First disconnect the electrical connector of the power sliding door latch release actuator then remove the rivets and take the actuator out of the device. The actuator rod must be removed from its connection to the actuator. Install the new power sliding door latch release actuator by first connecting the rod followed by proper placement and riveting of the actuator on the door. After securing the actuator to the lock rod proceed with reinstallation of the sliding door lock module followed by water deflector and inner trim panel. First enable PSD system operation by putting back the PSD 15A fuse into the fuse block that provides power to both PSDMs resulting in PSD functionality but both PSDMs must learn their complete activation positions.
