    Open the liftgate before taking the water deflector out. Take off the electrical connector from the liftgate latch before removing its retaining bolts. Unhook the latch cable clip with a small blade before releasing the retainer and pulling out the latch cable. Move the liftgate latch out through the open gate slot. Locate the new latch on the liftgate and connect the lock cylinder cable securely into its place. Fix the latch cable onto the liftgate latch then attach the cable retainer. Plug the electrical connector back into the liftgate latch keeping the fastener notice in mind during setup. Fix the liftgate latch retaining bolts at a torque of 10 n.m while tightening them. Put back the liftgate water deflector and press the liftgate shut.
