2005 Chevrolet Uplander Door Lock Actuator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Door Lock Actuator in a Power Sliding Door on 2005 Chevrolet Uplander?
A: The PSD system requires disabling by removing the PSD 15A fuse from the instrument panel fuse block to interrupt low current logic power for both the LH and RH power sliding door modules that makes them unable to function. Start by removing the sliding door inner trim panel after which you should remove both the sliding door water deflector and then proceed with the removal of the sliding door lock module. The power sliding door latch release actuator requires the removal of its electrical connector before you detach retaining rivets and extract the piece. Detach the rod connected to the latch release actuator. To install the new power sliding door latch release actuator position it on the door while attaching the actuator rod and securing it by using rivets. After securing the actuator to the lock rod you can install all components including sliding door lock module water deflector and inner trim panel. The PSD system can be restarted by placing back the PSD 15A fuse into the fuse block to supply power to the PSDMs but both PSDMs will have to learn the full open and full closed positions of the PSD.
