    A: The procedure for replacing the left rear park brake cable requires releasing the brake then supporting the vehicle in the air. Tear the park brake cable from the equalizer bar after pulling the intermediate cable down to detach it from the equalizer bar. Press the locking tabs to detach the cable from the mounting bracket before removing it at the lower shock absorber mount through bolt removal. Secondly detach the cable from the lever while performing the removal of rear cable mounting bracket bolt. To remove the cable from the rear brake cable mounting bracket operators must depress the locking tabs on the brake cable while moving the cable from guides and body mounts. When installing the new brake cable you need to put it into the rear brake cable mounting bracket then the locking tabs will snap into place afterward attach the park brake cable to the lever. Install and torque the rear park brake cable bracket bolt to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.) after which you should install the park brake cable with bolt at the lower shock absorber mount using 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Route the park brake cable properly through its guides while also through the body mounts and finally fasten it onto the equalizer bar. Complete the procedure by detaching safety stands while lowering the vehicle down.
