Begin by loosening the overflow hose clamps before removing the overflow hose which attaches to the surge tank's top. Start by taking off the tank attaching nuts followed by pulling the tank from the vehicle. Soak the surge tank inside and outside and cap in soap water then rinse them until they become clean. Follow these installation steps: Fit the surge tank into the vehicle then fasten its attaching nuts until torque reaches 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Attach the overflow hose to the surge tank while completing the installation with hose clamps. Add coolant into the surge tank until it reaches either the middle ridge or the MAX indicators.
