How to replace the rear wheel speed sensor on 2006 Chevrolet Express 1500?

Before starting the process you need to lift the vehicle and take out the leaf spring anchor plate on the left rear side. Take out the Wheel Speed Sensor by first removing its retainer bolt and disconnecting power. Also remove the spacer block that comes with the sensor. Insert the spacer block and Wheel Speed Sensor onto the target position followed by Wheel Speed Sensor bolt installation. Tighten the bolt to 14 nm (124 inch lbs.). Reconnect the electrical wire after you install the left rear plate into its original position. Begin engine and idle for testing where both abs and traction assist indicators should switch off. Keep the vehicle off until repairs happen from a Wheel Speed Sensor issue; test the electrical connector for damage and correct positioning. Examine the antilock brake system problems if the indicator lights stay active. Walk the vehicle forward at 16 km/h (10 mph) for 5 seconds while watching for either the abs or traction assist indicator to turn on. Check the diagnostic starting point for antilock brake system if any indicator is showing.
