Check the engine mount strut rubber for indications of hardness as well as splitting and cracking. Remove the engine mount strut bracket bolts which are attached to the body as well as the bracket when necessary. Before installation you need to take away the heater pipe bracket bolt which fastens the engine mount to the motor and possibly strip away the engine mount strut bracket bolts (engine side) with its bracket for complete replacement. Position the engine mount strut bracket (engine side) to the cylinder head followed by installation of bolts (engine side) that require tightening to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Secure the heater pipe bracket bolt with a torque of 16 Nm until it reaches 12 ft. lbs. The body side bracket of the engine mount strut can be positioned to the vehicle before installing the bracket bolts which should be tightened to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). You must first attach the engine mount strut then secure the rear engine mount strut bolt and nut with 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.), followed by securing the forward engine mount strut bolt and nut also to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
