How to replace the Turn Signal Switch on 2006 GMC Sierra 1500?

In order to change the turn signal switch, get you to switch off the SIR system and get rid of the trim covers. Disconnect the wire harness assembly and replace the abrasion sleeve. Unscrew and remove screws and the assembly. Install the new piece of assembly, get the right connections, and install trim covers.
