Replacement of the Pitman Arm To lift the vehicle and support it. Take out the power steering gear and clamp it to a vise. Separate the pitman arm with a puller. Install power steering gear, re-install new pitman arm with a washer and nut, lower the vehicle and adjust the wheel alignment.
