How to replace the left side exhaust manifold (RPO LY7) on 2007 Buick LaCrosse?

The first step to replace a left side Exhaust Manifold (RPO LY7) requires the removal of the oil lever tube alongside its indicator component and the left and right engine mount through bolts. The exhaust crossover pipe must be disconnected from the left Exhaust Manifold through the removal of five nuts before the Exhaust Manifold heat shield can be separated by unscrewing all its bolts. Remove both the Exhaust Manifold bolts and discard the old Exhaust Manifold Gasket while taking off the manifold itself. The sealing surface areas of the Exhaust Manifold need thorough cleaning before you install the components. Begin by driving an Exhaust Manifold bolt through a bolt hole of the manifold before setting up a new Exhaust Manifold Gasket on the bolt and placing the manifold against the Cylinder Head. The already installed manifold bolt should be tightened until it becomes snug before installing the remaining Exhaust Manifold bolts at 20 n.m torque (15 lb ft). Secure the Exhaust Manifold heat shield using its bolts while tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The exhaust crossover pipe should reinstall to the Exhaust Manifold nuts tightly up to 34 n.m (25 lb ft), and subsequent installation should focus on left and right engine mount strut through bolts that need to be tightened to 48 n.m (35 lb ft). Place back the oil lever indicator while reattaching its tube.
