First, you need to take off the air cleaner assembly for your engine type (4.2L, 5.3L, or 6.0L), then the accumulator. Following this, take off the coolant hoses from the reservoir and seal both ends with fitting plugs . Take off the nut and bolt that secure the coolant recovery reservoir, and afterwards, pull it out. When installing, set the coolant recovery reservoir in place, use the bolt to hold it, tighten it to 12 n.m (106 lb in), and finally install the nut, making attach the coolant hose to the reservoir, put the accumulator back in, and lastly, fit the air cleaner assembly in the correct position for the engine type.
