The replacement procedure of a Coolant Reservoir begins with removing both the air cleaner assembly and accumulator unit. Begin by disconnecting the coolant hoses from the Coolant Reservoir while using suitable plugs for blocking both hoses and reservoir outlets. Start by unfastening the nut and bolt which secures the Coolant Reservoir before you can withdraw the reservoir itself from its position. Set the Coolant Reservoir in place before you install its bolt with torque set to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). Install the Coolant Reservoir nut afterward and tighten it to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). After reconnecting the coolant hose to the Coolant Reservoir, reinstall the accumulator followed by the air cleaner assembly.

Beginning the Coolant Reservoir replacement process starts by taking off the proper engine type's air cleaner assembly. First disconnect the electrical connector from the a/c pressure switch then remove the bracket bolt holding the accumulator to the reservoir. Finally move the accumulator to a safe position. First remove the coolant hoses from the Coolant Reservoir before plugging the hoses and reservoir outlets with suitable plugs. To perform the removal keep the bolt and nut isolated from the Coolant Reservoir before pulling it out. Install the new Coolant Reservoir by placing it into position while strictly adhering to fastener caution instructions. Follow this procedure when installing the Coolant Reservoir bolt by tightening it to 12 nm (106 lb in) then install and torque the reservoir nut to 10 nm (89 lb in). Reconnect the Coolant Reservoir hose then secure the accumulator bracket with its bolt while applying 10 nm (89 lb in) torque. Finish by connecting the a/c low pressure switch electrical connector. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly according to the engine type requirements.

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Begin by placing the coolant recovery reservoir in position and securing it with the retaining bolt to the front wheel house panel, tightening it to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).

First, remove the air cleaner assembly for the 4.2L engine or the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, or 7.0L engine.

Remove the nut and bolt securing the coolant recovery reservoir and take out the reservoir.

Take out the bracket bolt securing the accumulator to the coolant recovery reservoir and move the accumulator aside.

Secure the reservoir to the wheel house panel with the nut, tightening it to 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.).
