How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly on 2007 Buick Rendezvous?

You can begin the blower motor resistor assembly replacement by first removing the insulator from the right side instrument panel then disconnecting the blower motor electrical connector. Drop the mounting screws from the blower motor then unload it from the HVAC module. Detach the blower motor resistor electrical connector while keeping both forward blower resistor assembly mounting screws loosened since the holes are slotted. Unscrew the screw at the rear of the assembly and slide the blower motor resistor out of the HVAC unit. Reinsert the blower motor resistor assembly into the HVAC module assembly and install its rear screw before tightening all screws to 1.8 N.m torque setting. Plug the electrical plugs into the blower motor resistor while placing the motor back into the HVAC unit and fastening it using screws tightened to 1.8 N.m. Reconnect the blower motor electrical components then return the right side instrument panel insulator.
