You need to start the blower motor resistor assembly replacement process by removing the right side instrument panel insulator followed by disconnecting the blower motor electrical connector. The first step is to remove the screws that secure the blower motor then extract the blower motor from the HVAC module assembly. You should disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor assembly as you carefully loosen the forward blower resistor assembly mounting screws because the mounting holes have slots. You must remove the rearward blower resistor assembly mounting screw to extract the blower motor resistor assembly from the HVAC module assembly. Position the blower motor resistor assembly into the HVAC module assembly and install the rearward blower resistor assembly mounting screw while tightening all screws to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in). Reinstall the blower motor into the HVAC module assembly before securing it with the blower motor mounting screws. Remember to also tighten all screws to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in). Afterward, connect the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor assembly. The last step involves connecting the blower motor electrical connector and replacing the right side instrument panel insulator.

To change Auxiliary Blower Motor Resistor, first unscrew the accessory panel left rear quarter trim, and disconnect the electrical connector of auxiliary blower motor resistor. Next, remove the screws that hold the resistor in place and remove the resistor from the auxiliary HVAC module assembly. For installation, place the new auxiliary blower motor resistor on to the auxiliary HVAC module assembly while according to the Fastener Notice for proper guidance. Use screws to fit the resistor in position according to the torque of 1.6 N.m (14 lb in) and reconnect the electrical connector. Lastly install the accessory panel to the left rear quarter trim panel.

Begin the Blower Motor Resistor assembly replacement task by taking off the right side instrument panel insulator followed by disconnecting the Blower Motor electrical connector. Take the Blower Motor out of its position by removing all its mounting screws. Before continuing work on the Blower Motor Resistor assembly, free only the forward screws by loosening their mounting screws as the slots on the holes permit limited movement. You can take out the Blower Motor Resistor assembly from its hvac position by unscrewing the rearward blower resistor assembly mount. Put the Blower Motor Resistor assembly inside the hvac module assembly and fasten it with the rearward blower resistor assembly screw before tightening all screws to 1.8 n.m (16 lb in). Use the electrical connector to join with the Blower Motor Resistor assembly and fix the Blower Motor into its place within the hvac module assembly by tightening its mounting screws to 1.8 n.m (16 lb in). Connect the Blower Motor electrical connector before replacing the right side instrument panel insulator.

To start replacement of the auxiliary blower motor resistor you first need to take off the accessory panel from the left rear quarter trim part. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connection to remove the screws that secure the resistor. Separate the auxiliary blower motor resistor from its housing in the auxiliary HVAC module. Insert the new auxiliary blower motor resistor into the assistant heating and ventilation unit and install it per section 606. Screw the resistor in place and tighten its screws to 1.6 N.m while connecting the electrical plug. Put back the accessory panel to its proper position on the left rear quarter trim.

Ensure to tighten the rearward blower motor resistor screws to 1.2 N.m (11 lb in).

Take out the blower motor resistor.

Place the blower motor resistor assembly back into the HVAC module assembly, install the rearward blower resistor assembly mounting screw, and tighten all screws to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in).

Remove the right side instrument panel insulator and disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.

Remove the screws securing the auxiliary blower motor resistor and take the resistor out of the auxiliary HVAC module assembly.

Tighten the rearward blower motor resistor screws to 1.2 N.m (11 lb in), ensuring to follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Remove the forward blower motor resistor screw and take out the blower motor resistor.

Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector and remove the screws securing the resistor.
