How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly on 2002 Buick Rendezvous?

The right side instrument panel insulator must be removed before disconnecting the blower motor electrical connector. After disconnecting the blower motor resistor assembly you must take out all screws and pull the blower motor away from the HVAC system. Loosen the two forward screws of the blower motor resistor assembly only by disconnecting its electrical connector. Turn out the rearward blower resistor assembly mounting screw and take the component out from the HVAC unit. Insert the blower motor resistor assembly into the HVAC module assembly then install its rearward screw before tightening all screws to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in). Fit the electrical connector into the blower motor resistor assembly ports while installing the blower motor into the HVAC assembly and use the holder screws to tighten it to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in). Attach the blower motor wiring first before putting back the right panel cover.
