How to replace the Turn Signal Switch on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

Starting replacement work demands you to disable SIR and remove upper and lower trim pieces first. Shift the wheel column to its center alignment and unplug the components from the turn signal and multifunction switch connection points. To replace the assembly separate its 2 pan head tapping screws and remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly. Make sure you place the electrical contact of the new switch directly on the turn signal cancel cam assembly before fastening the 2 pan head tapping screws. First apply 3 N.m (27 lb in) of torque when screwing the top column and then put 7 N.m (62 lb in) effort when the front screw undergoes torque. Replace the upper and lower trim covers on top of the connectors and activate SIR after restoring the transducer assembly to the turn signal source.
