How to service the exhaust hangers and maintain the support of the exhaust system on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

A supporting stand must lift and stabilize the vehicle before you begin servicing exhaust hangers for the exhaust system support. Remove the front exhaust hanger from its attachment with the rear suspension hanger rod while applying suitable lubrication to the exhaust pipe hanger rod to simplify hanger removal. Proceed by separating the front exhaust hanger from its position on the exhaust pipe hanger rod. The tail pipe hanger can be removed more easily after applying lubricant to the body support bracket rod and the tail pipe hanger rod. Next the tail pipe hanger should be unstuck from both rods. The body support bracket rod and tail pipe hanger rod and their inner diameters need a soapy solution applied during installation. Position the tail pipe hanger on top of both the tail pipe hanger rod and body support bracket rod . The installation procedure requires a soapy solution application onto the exhaust pipe hanger rod alongside the inner diameter of the front exhaust hanger. Then install the front exhaust hanger by pressing it over the exhaust pipe hanger rod and rear suspension hanger rod . Finally, lower the vehicle.
