How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2007 Chevrolet Colorado?

Unplug all stop lamp switch electrical connectors then turn the switch counterclockwise to detach it from its bracket before taking out the switch retainer. First position the switch retainer in place and slides the switch next to the bracket with its key-way matching the plastic retainer. After setting the stop lamp switch position fit its brackets and reattach electrical connectors. Finally test the switch to make sure it works correctly. Keep the retainer in place during every switch replacement.
