The first step to replace the Torque Converter Clutch/Cruise Control Release Switch requires removing the electrical connector attached to it. First disconnect the electrical connector from the switch before removing the device from the brake pedal bracket. Pull the switch out while counterclockwise rotation until it frees from its retainer. Push the locking tabs into place when ready to detach the retainer. When installing the Torque Converter Clutch/Cruise Control Release Switch position its retainer into the brake pedal bracket until the locking tabs are completely engaged and then connect the electrical connector before performing switch adjustment.

First free and disconnect the stop lamp switch electrical connector before turning the switch counter-clockwise to pull it out from its bracket. Put the switch on the bracket so that the switch key fits into the plastic retention space easily. Pause the switch through the retainer until the pointed end enters the switch chamber entirely. A fully pushed Brake Pedal must make sure that the tip of the switch touches the brake arm before the switch's collapsing tip rotates. Twist the switch clockwise to push it securely at the end of the plastic holder. Use the stop lamp switch connector to establish power flow while checking for accurate switch functioning.

Reconnect the stop lamp switch electrical connectors and check the switch for proper operation.

Rotate it counterclockwise, pull it from the retainer, and push the locking tabs inward to release the retainer.
