2007 Chevrolet Corvette Clutch Slave Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Clutch Slave Cylinder on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Begin by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable before removing the left instrument panel lower insulator panel. Start by removing the clutch pedal's clutch master cylinder rod retainer and clutch master cylinder rod before proceeding to the windshield washer solvent container. Support the vehicle while you remove the retaining clip that holds the Clutch Hose connection and disconnect the hose from the master cylinder. Protect hose ends from debris and harm throughout this process. Remove the driveline support assembly with transaxle from the vehicle and unfasten the Clutch Hose connection retaining clip and disconnect the Clutch Hose from the clutch actuator cylinder while protecting each component from damage. Extract the clutch actuator cylinder through its mounting bolts from the driveline support assembly. Mount the clutch actuator cylinder onto the driveline support assembly then fasten mounting bolts with 12 n.m (106 lb in) torque. Firmly push together clutch actuator cylinder and Clutch Hose connections before secured them with the retaining clip which needs to be checked for correct mutual engagement by testing the fitting pull forces. Reinstall the driveline support assembly and transaxle to the vehicle before securing the Clutch Hose connection retaining clip and connecting the clutch actuator cylinder hose to the clutch master cylinder hose . Verify engagement after each connection. After checking the clutch hydraulic hoses for kinks or twists you should install the clutch actuator cylinder hose to the hose retaining clip under the Brake Master Cylinder. Then lower your vehicle before reinstalling the windshield washer solvent container. After mounting the clutch master cylinder rod through both the clutch pedal and the clutch master cylinder rod retainer we should install the left instrument panel lower insulator panel. The process ends with a connection of the negative Battery Cable after tightening the bolt to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Programming the transmitters then follows before bleeding the clutch hydraulic system.
