How to replace the fuel filler hose without the left-hand door on 2007 Chevrolet Express 2500?

The initial step for replacing the fuel filler tube without the left-hand door requires complete cleaning of fuel pipe and hose connections and surrounding fuel system areas to stop fuel system contamination. Start the replacement by draining all fuel down to where the fuel tank fill hose meets the bottom. Start by taking off the 2 bolts and push-pin which support the filler neck to the body before lifting the vehicle. You should remove the fuel filler tube ground strap bolt while you loosen the fuel fill hose to fuel fill pipe clamp and then disconnect the fuel fill hose from the fuel fill pipe before taking off the fuel fill pipe assembly. Install the fuel fill pipe to the fuel fill hose by aligning it with the fuel fill pipe housing while tightening the fuel fill hose clamp to reach 2.75 n.m (24 lb in). Slide the fuel filler tube ground strap bolt into its assembly before tightening it to 8 n.m (70 lb in) then return the vehicle to the ground. The process requires attachment of fuel fill pipe housing bolts and push-pin followed by 6 n.m (53 lb in) tightening of bolts. After fuel tank refilling install the fuel filler cap.
