How to replace the steering linkage outer tie rod on 2007 Chevrolet Express 3500?

The vehicle requires raising and suitable support before you begin replacement of the steering linkage outer Tie Rod. You must first remove the tire along with the wheel before removing the retaining nut from the outside Tie Rod to Steering Knuckle. The steering linkage and Tie Rod puller (J 24319-B) should be used to disconnect the outer Tie Rod from the Steering Knuckle. First examine the shaft for damage and inspect threads for bent portions before cleaning the round section of the Steering Knuckle surface. It is essential to apply chassis lubricant to the inner Tie Rod threads before fitting the outer Tie Rod. Fasten the outer Tie Rod onto the inner Tie Rod without applying any force to the jam nut. Fitting the outer Tie Rod to the Steering Knuckle retaining nut requires tightening it to 63 n.m (47 lb ft). To conclude the process install the tire followed by the wheel then lower the vehicle before performing front toe adjustments.
