2007 Chevrolet HHR Drive Belt Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the drive belt on 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
A: The engine splash shield must be taken out before Drive Belt replacement. The accessory belt tensioner unloader (J 44811) should be mounted onto the Drive Belt tensioner before counterclockwise rotation to let the spring tension out. Begin by removing the Drive Belt from its place under the Drive Belt tensioner before eliminating it from around the accessory drive pulleys. At last, take out the Drive Belt. The new Drive Belt needs to be positioned around all accessory drive pulleys except the one for the Drive Belt tensioner. The accessory belt tensioner unloader (J 44811) enables counterclockwise rotation of the Drive Belt tensioner to free the spring tension so you can install the Drive Belt under the Drive Belt tensioner. Completely turn the Drive Belt tensioner clockwise so the belt stays in position followed by the removal of the accessory belt tensioner unloader (J 44811). After checking the Drive Belt alignment on accessory drive pulleys it is time to install the engine splash shield back on.
