• Q: How to replace the Center Console on 2007 GMC Envoy?

  A: To change out the console, block the wheels to prevent movement then remove rubber ash tray inserts and rubber mat from the console then remove floor shift control knob. For buick models, first unlatch the Center Console shift lever bezel and console storage compartment, then remove the Center Console retaining screws that you will find. Set the parking brake to the fully engaged and let go of the two forward trim extension ears connected to the lower instrument panel for buick models. Slide the console rearward and lift the rear to expose the electrical connectors, which you will remove according to the needs. Adjust the parking brake to the middle and take off the Center Console from the vehicle. When replacing the floor console base, keep HVAC Control Module (if equipped), armrest, hvac module and duct assembly, cup holder, and hvac upper duct for transfer.
