How to replace the A/C Hose outlet (C69) on 2007 GMC Savana 2500?

The replacement of air conditioning Evaporator tube outlet (C69) starts with recovering refrigerant from the system. Start by removing the engine cover followed by the auxiliary Evaporator outlet tube from the compressor hose . Start by removing the retaining nut from the engine before raising and supporting the vehicle to remove the auxiliary Evaporator tube retaining nuts from the body. Proceed by removing the bolt mounting the auxiliary Evaporator outlet tube to the transmission bracket and extracting the tube from the auxiliary Evaporator before removing it from the vehicle. Attach the Evaporator tube to the auxiliary Evaporator core before torquing the hose fitting to 48 n.m (35 lb ft). Secure the engine and body with the Evaporator tube retaining nuts to 6 n.m (53 lb in) torque setting while installing the transmission bracket bolt which retains the hose to 5 n.m (44 lb in). User should lower the vehicle then connect the auxiliary Evaporator outlet tube to the compressor hose and tighten the fitting to 48 n.m (35 lb ft). Complete the procedure by putting on the engine cover after evacuating and recharging the a/c system then running a leak test on the components' fittings using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
