How to replace Knock Sensor 2 on 2007 GMC Sierra 1500?

The replacement of Knock Sensor 2 requires raising the vehicle to a suitable height and supporting it properly. Proceed by taking off the oil pan skid plate along with its bolts if the vehicle is equipped. First move the knock sensor sleeve in a downward position away from the knock sensor before disconnecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector attached to the knock sensor. Replace the knock sensor bolt initially followed by sensor removal. Place the knock sensor on the engine block before installing the bolt and applying 25 N.m (18 lb ft) of torque to it. The knock sensor receives its electrical connection from the engine wiring harness electrical connector and the knock sensor sleeve should be directed upward over the knock sensor. Position the oil skid plate when present then fasten the bolts with a torque of 28 N.m (21 lb ft). Finally, lower the vehicle.
